PETITION TO SENATE TO AMEND THE ELECTRAL LAW IN MAKING SURE ALL NOMINATED MCAs COME FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE COUNTIES THEY NOMINATED INTO

The nominations of nominated MCAs has been always done in a skewed and obscure manner where a hundreds of nominated MCAs are nominated by the political parties shareholders.

The nominations of nominated MCAs has been always done in a skewed and obscure manner where a hundreds of nominated MCAs are nominated by the political parties shareholders. They nominated them and swap them in several Counties Assemblies. These Nominated MCAs have no idea of the challenges and needs of the residents in those Counties, making the representation to be quality less.

The petition was meant to cure that problem in making sure that all nominated MCAs come from their respective Counties they are nominated into for will a direct connection with the people and their challenges and needs.

The petition was done on 7th September 2023

ACTIONS

The petition generated a heated debate in Senate when it was tabled by the Speaker Mason Kingi. It was covered so much in the mainstream medias.

PRAYERS ALLOWED

The Senate allowed the Prayers and in the Election Amendment 2024 which is now assented into a Law is was factored in.

A PETITION TO THE SENATE ON RESTRICTING COUNTIES FROM OUTSOURCING LEGAL SERVICES

The Counties were in spree of spending billions of public money in outsourcing legal services and yet they established County Attorneys who are legally mandated to represent Counties in legal matters. As per the Controller of budget report of 2024 over 56 billions were pending bills for legal services in Counties. The petition will protect Public funds from misuse and be directed to the intended purpose.
